Jonathan Demme's first directorial effort (he also wrote the screenplay) follows two female prisoners who escape from their brutal captivity and then break back in to deliver their own kind of justice. With Russ Meyer fave Erica Gavin, Juanita Brown, Roberta Collins and Barbara Steele as the demented, wheelchair-bound warden; music by The Velvet Underground's John Cale. 79 min.
